"Whatever happens to you, you can either see it as a curse and suffer it, or you can see it as a blessing and make use of it." - Sadhguru
This wonderful quote actually became wonder for me. it's been a very long time since I have written a blog. Finally lots of half-written blogs I have decided to share this one. Sometimes something terrible happens and life gives a tight slap on your face & everything falls in the right place. Sometimes we make commitments to ourselves & could not fulfil it, sometimes some clients, closed ones as well as strangers act in a certain way that you lose your control. I have learnt lots of things from single incident happened to me a few days ago & I really wanted to share with you because this might help when you get extremely angry, angry as hell, angry as a hulk 😂
Mostly I don't get angry too much. But after that incident, I lost my control. After suffering from 3 - 4 hours of anger, finally, with the help of spirituality, I succeeded to overcome the anger & analysed why this happened to me, why I reacted to the situation with extreme anger & what I should learn from this. I came up with the following points.
1. Break the negative chain of thought
Have you seen ants carrying sugar or insects? What do they do? They make a chain to carry sugar or insects. Right? Ants eat protein to grow & they usually get from insects. Sometimes in search of protein they kill & carry ‘termites’ (Which is one of the insects usually lives in dead plants). They take these termites to the nest & poison the whole colony. This is exactly what happens with our thoughts. When we carry positive ideas or situations with the chain of thought we grow our mentality but when we carry negative ideas or situations we ruin our mentality.
I was carrying negative behaviour of one person & losing my control. What I learnt, insects like termites will always be there, they will make you feel negative, angry, disturbing but at the end, you have to take control of your thoughts and kick that poisonous insect out of your life & focus on searching for positive ideas, positive situations & positive things that you have.
2. Regret & Self-control
In angriness, you do things which you regret in future. So there are only 2 choices. First is Self Control & second is, be strong enough to digest poisonous insects, learn thought it & grow thought it.
There are lots of people who put on a face mask of lies. They nourish it with arrogance, attitude, show off & sometimes with so-called emotional personal stories to gain sympathy. It's very necessary to stay away from these people. At Least mentally. I am not blaming anyone. Everyone is good, Everyone is either a hero or villain in someone's story. But you should find out the negativity & stay away from it.
3. The pursuit of truth ( Be a Jonathan Livingston Seagull )
Do you guys remember, In our childhood, we used to have a puzzle in our textbook, 'spot or remove the different word or thing which does not belong to the group'? (गटात न बसणारा शब्द) but some children used to remove a word that belongs to the group mistakenly, instead of removing wrong word or thing. Somehow we are doing the same. We are removing spirituality from our life. I am not talking about the worship of any religious god. I am talking about pursuing the truth of existence. I am not an expert in this. I am sharing what I have learnt from diving in the thoughts of great persons like Sandeep Maheshwari, Sadhguru & Radhakrishnan Pillai.
One more thing, ‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull’ is my favourite story written by Richard Bach. I have learnt so much from that story. It's really important to work hard & get materialist success, fame & money. But at the same time, we should have in the pursuit of spiritual success. I am in the pursuit of becoming ‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull’. Are you?
